Elbow wraps buying guide and FAQ

How to choose elbow wraps

Elbow wraps are long elastic wraps you wind tightly around your elbow for your heaviest pressing sets. They give a firm, springy feel at the bottom of a bench press, which is why many lifters save them for top sets. They're different from elbow sleeves, which you pull on and wear for the whole session for warmth and compression. Not sure which you need? Read Elbow Wraps vs Elbow Sleeves for Bench Press.

Length

Our elbow wraps are 60 inches long. That gives you enough material for several overlapping passes around the elbow, so you can choose a lighter wrap for warm-ups or a tighter wrap for a heavy set.

The slip-on loop and closure

Starting a wrap by hand can be awkward, especially when you're wrapping your own arm. Ours have a slip-on loop: put your arm through, position the loop just below the elbow, and start wrapping. When you're done, the hook-and-loop closure holds the end in place, so there's no tucking and no asking a training partner for help.

How tight to wrap

Start with a moderate wrap on lighter sets and build up tension as the weight goes up. Keep each pass overlapping, wrap in a spiral or X pattern around the joint, and take the wraps off between sets. Our step-by-step wrapping guide walks through it with photos.

Pick your look

Every color uses the same 60-inch, one-size design, so choose the one that matches the rest of your gear. Black is $39.99; Caution, OD Green, Coyote Brown and Tactical Hawaiian are $34.99. Check each product page for current pricing and availability.

Care

Unroll your wraps after training so they can air out. Long wraps hold a lot of water, so hand wash them in cool water and dry them fully unrolled. Keep the hook-and-loop closed while washing so it doesn't snag. More tips: How to Wash Knee Sleeves and Wrist Wraps.

Bundles

Squatting heavy too? The Knee Wraps + Elbow Wraps bundle pairs these with our 78-inch knee wraps.

FAQ

Bay Gear Co. elbow wraps are 60 inches long and
one size fits all, for men and women with small or large arms. Each one has a
slip-on loop, so you just slide your arm through the loop and start wrapping.
You don’t need to hold the end or ask someone for help. Fasten the
hook-and-loop closure when you’re done. Hand wash, don’t bleach, and air dry.

Hand wash your Bay Gear Elbow Wraps, don’t use bleach,
and let them air dry. Skipping the washing machine and dryer helps the elastic
and the hook-and-loop closure last longer and keeps the prints looking sharp.
Close the hook-and-loop strip before washing so it doesn’t snag. Rinse sweaty
wraps after hard sessions so odor doesn’t build up.
